I had the honor of being asked to do a mural for The Florida Room in Portland, Oregon. The back room is entirely windowless, so I decided to create one using tromp l’oeil (French for “fool the eye”). I also camouflaged the door by turning it into an old timey beach changing tent. I wanted to use as much of the wall as possible to create an expansive landscape that people could space out on while they drank a beer. Also, it really opened up the room without knocking out any walls!
